David started training in Shotokan Karate at 8 years old. 

He started training because he wanted to learn self-defence

and found a club in Tipton called Newe’s Karate Federation which was

run by Sensei Keith Robinson.  Roughly 1 year into his training the club closed

down due to room availability issues and at the age of 9 years old David joined the

Cannon Shotokan Karate Federation under the instruction of Sensei Mark Tranter

and Sensei Clive Tranter, David went on to fulfil his goal of becoming a

Black Belt in Shotokan.

 

David joined the Cannon Shotokan Karate Federation as an 8th Kyu and

is now pursuing his 3rd Dan Black Belt under the instruction of Sensei

Paul Connor and Sensei David Byrne.
