Text Box: Latest News 31st October 2014 Happy Halloween! Students attended tonight's session in traditional Karate Gi but were allowed to wear Halloween masks as a one off break from our traditional training. Wearing the masks proved to be difficult for the full duration of the session however as the majority of the hour and half training was either spent sparring or hitting kick shields and focus pads. Everyone trained really hard and some excellent kicking techniques were performed by Sensei Paul Connor, Sensei David Byrne and Sensei David Reece. 28th October 2014 Tonight has seen the return of Sensei Mark Tranter (5th Dan) who originally founded the Cannon Shotokan Karate Federation many years ago with his father Sensei Clive Tranter. Sensei Mark Tranter trained with some very appreciative karate students and offered guidance on demonstration techniques (the theme of the nights training) as well as performing himself It is hoped we will see more of Sensei Mark Tranter very soon!
