Text Box: Latest News 8th August 2014 Tonight Sensei Paul Connor announced a new mentoring system for all students of the Cannon Shotokan Karate Federation. Each Senior Dan Grade now assumes the role of mentor for upto 3 students of varying grades and ages. Ten minutes per lesson will be allocated for students to spend with their mentors. Essentially learning or tuning whatever they feel they need to. This new system has been put in place to give students the opportunity to take some control of their own training with in the dojo. Students are encouraged to think about what they would like to run through before each lesson to maximise their time with their mentors. 5th August 2014 Congratulation to Lewis Yardley for passing his 9th Kyu (Yellow Belt) Lewis was the only person taking a grading and despite being nervous gave a very convincing performance, Lewis was graded by Sensei David Byrne, Sensei David Reece, Sensei Jack Whitehouse and Sensei Gary Yardley Recent News Older News
